ABEL QUEZADA, shown here at work in his studio, is Mexico´s leading cartoonist. His liberal-minded political cartoons regularly appear in Excelsior, the highly conservative Mexican newspaper. Quezada´s work has also appeared in the Spanish edition of LIFE Magazine. A world traveler and ambassador of goodwill, he has toured Europe, Africa and the Orient, and has visited Russia on an assignment for LIFE. But probably his most traveled path is the one between Mexico City, his home, and the U.S.A.
